The Brassing Desk Fountain Pen by YSTUDIO is designed to remind us of the weight and substance of our words. It features a compact pen holder made of solid brass—heavy enough to keep your pen in its place on your desk.
Inspired by the aesthetic of vintage camera equipment, the matte lacquered finish of the pen and the base is designed to wear off over time and reveal the raw brass underneath. This raw brass, too, will develop a patina with time, resulting in a pen that is continually changing with every use.
