Designed for both drafting and writing, the PLATINUM Pro-Use 241 Mechanical Pencil includes a number of innovations that help to prevent lead breakage. It features a lead guard with a "Hayaai Mechanism" that can retract into the barrel of the pencil when not in use. The pencil also has a lead cushion switch. When turned on, the lead cushion helps to absorb shock during writing and prevent breakage. In the off position, the pencil holds the lead firmly in place and is ideal for drawing lines with a ruler. A textured grip section makes for a comfortable user experience.
