With a nod to its storied Swiss heritage, the CARAN D'ACHE Swiss Wood 348 Graphite Pencil is made from Swiss beech wood rather than cedar, as is found in most conventional wooden pencils. This use of a hardwood results in a thicker and heavier pencil that feels sturdier in the hand, and results in a unique writing experience unlike any other. The dark colour of the wood accentuates the contrasting, white CARAN D'ACHE lettering, and the end of the pencil is finished with the Swiss flag.
