Wassily Kandinsky, painter and lecturer at the Bauhaus school, famously once said: ‘Everything starts from a dot.’ This quote highlights the fact that for creative minds, the process of committing ideas to paper via the hand begins with a crucial moment of first contact between the mind and page – the formation of a dot on paper.
As a tribute to the Bauhaus style and its longlasting impact on designers to this day, LEUCHTTURM1917 created a special collection to commemorate the centenary of the iconic art and design movement. The collection encompasses a notebook, a pen loop and a Drehgriffel pen, all of which have been designed with the aim to honour the pioneering Bauhaus ethos of clean, functional design.
The LEUCHTTURM1917 '100 Years Bauhaus' notebook features four contrasting colour combinations of the cover, fore-edge, flyleaf and internal linear printing, adding a layer of play and creativity to a classic notebook design.
