PLATINUM #3776 Century "Fuji Unkei" Fountain Pen - Kinu Gumo

$560.00

Renowned for the pencil-like feedback of their nibs, the PLATINUM #3776 Century Fountain Pen provides a unique tactile experience that enhances the joy of putting pen to paper. Similar to other fountain pens from Japan, the carefully crafted 14k gold nibs are known for producing a finer line, particular in their UEF to F range, which makes it the perfect fountain pen for those with smaller handwriting. But for those who prefer a bolder stroke when writing (whether to show off the spectacular properties of an ink or to facilitate larger handwriting), PLATINUM also offers extra broad nibs with the C (Chiselled) and MU (Music) nib options.

The PLATINUM #3776 Century Fountain Pen is often recommended as a great, budget-friendly first introduction to gold nib fountain pens. It is well-balanced for a comfortable writing experience, and has an elegant, classic design that is loved by many. Each pen also features the brand's unique "Slip & Seal" mechanism in the cap, which helps to prevent ink from drying out even when left unused over extended periods of time.

The "Fuji Unkei" series is a collection of limited edition #3776 Century Fountain Pen celebrating the scenic clouds surrounding the landscape of Japan's iconic Mt. Fuji. The Kinu-Gumo takes inspiration from the delicate and wispy cirrus clouds that have an almost silk-like appearance. It expresses these beautiful cloudscapes along the barrel of the pen using two decorative techniques typically reserved for metalwork: guilloche engraving and v-blade engraving. The cap of the pen features a decorative insert that mimic the silhouette of Mt. Fuji.

Each pen comes with a bottle of special edition Nishiki-Oru-Fuji ink — a deep vermillion colour with beautiful gold sheen.
